As the tagline ‘A Chica Around Town’ goes, yes, I am a girl and I do get around. I love travelling and eating out. I wish to remain a closet blogger – for now – until my confidence as a blogger builds up. Since ‘going undercover’ per se, I rely on my iPhone to snap the blurry pictures you will see ever so often. It is simply that my handbag is heavy enough without the extra weight of a camera. (I do own a couple of Leica point-and-shoot cameras)
My blog ‘Out For A Long Lunch’ is my digital archive of my travels, eats and musings (basically putting my foot into my mouth!).
I hope my blog is interesting enough to entertain. By the way, I do have backgrounds in architecture, heritage management, project management, hospitality, etc.., etc… This is so you know in case I go off tangents sounding verbose or farty!
By the way, I came across this interesting article which summarised very compellingly why one needs to take a Long Lunch, it really made me happy to name my blog ‘Out For A Long Lunch’! ENJOY!!
I think you’re blog’s an excellent idea and a well thought out plan. Hope you keep it up, and I look forward to dropping by every so often to read about your latest gastronomic adventures.
Thank you for your kind words. Still on the learning curve and hope to do my best! I also enjoy reading your blog on Chocolates!
Congratulations to your new blog! Great going girl! I like the name and rationale for your blog — it’s you -:) And I am one of those that enjoy long lunches, especially when you had jam-packed day! A moment of respite is all that is needed to get re-energized and stay creative!

Thank you Peter! Makes my day!
I dropped by via Happy Yuan and I gotta say, love your about section and I plan on checking out this ‘chica’ in her adventures. I am also a bit of a foodie so I am sure I will find your blog drool worthy.
Thank you for your compliments. Yes, do drop by often and check out my adventures. I will work harder to make my blog even more drool worthy – first up, take better pictures! ;-))
You are no longer uncover. We have all found you and I join in with the other community members in saying thank you for sharing your world.

Thank you Deb! xx
My pleasure!
When I was working I used to love going out for a long lunch. Now I’m retired I don’t have the time!
It comes under the ‘work-entertainment’ territory. I must admit, while I love good food, I have to pay-in-kind for the hefty price-tag especially when I’m going for my body transformation project! Lotza guilt! 😁
Like your blog is very interesting…
Cheers from Florence Italy
Thank you very much for your compliments!
If only I found your blog way much more earlier. theres so many honest reviews of food you have!
Thank you Evon! Glad that you ‘stumbled upon’ my blog! Catch up later! Tah!
Dear outforalonglunch,
My name is Joyce and I work for ExpatFinder.com.
ExpatFinder.com is a free one stop website for people preparing to move or working and living overseas. We provide a myriad of services for expatriates and we have over 2,000 articles to help and support the people moving around the world and we are now creating an interview section to help the expats with real life experiences!
We quite enjoy your blog about living in Malaysia, it is very interesting and informative. Would it be possible to interview you to further share some of your tips and feature some of your first hand experience as an Expat and your interview will be published on our Expat Interview section as a guide for our expat readers. The questions are mainly about the day to day lifestyle of an expat. If it would be possible, could you also send some photographs that we can use?
Of course, if you accept, we can add a link to your blog or some of your website.
The questions are enclosed, feel free to respond freely. You can return the doc with your answers if you accept this invitation.
Thanks in advance and do let me know if you prefer other means to conduct this interview and we would be happy to accommodate your terms.
Best regards,
Joyce
